Fitness Routine Helped Lose Weight
Hey friends!
I am GJ from India. This is my story and believe me if you are
suffering from the problem of overweight, you are feeling the
same what I used to feel.
I was in my school in 10th standard (the first national level
exam in India which decides what subjects you will get for
further studies) and I was trying to give my best to my
studies. I used to spend 6 hours in school, 3 hours in
coaching centers and 5 hours in self-study and around 2 hours
in traveling (from home to caching centre and school and back
to home), eating and all. This took almost 16 hours daily to
complete all these activities and the remaining time I used to
sleep.
By the time I was done with my exams I had put on a lot of
weight. My waist used to look like a inflated truck tyre and
my hips were in equally bad position. The extra fat was also
visible on chest area and also on my thighs.
. My height was 176 cm and my weight was 187 pounds.
. The only cloths I used to wear at that time was loose shirts
or something that will not reveal those extra pounds.
. At that time only my school friends organized a get-together
in oysters (the only water park in Delhi at that time) and I
couldn't accept that invitation though I wanted to go just
because I didn't want to get embarrassed.
. I didn't feel comfortable talking with girls just coz of
that bad shape.
And besides all this I started loosing my confidence.
I used to feel complex and this complex is leading me
to low self esteem.
Even my best friend noticed this thing and after a detailed
talk he understood my problem (though I didn't conveyed it
directly) and he told me that its not a big deal at all
He told me that it's a common problem with many people and a
fitness program would do real good for me and even if I didn't
get time to join some particular program I can do some simple
exercises to get appropriate fitness level.
It was after that when I started
- Jogging:- I started with 3 minutes very first day and
kept adding 20 seconds on daily basis.
- Cycling:- I started with 1 km and keep increasing the
distance by 100 meters daily.
- Diet control:- I didn't diet as such but yes I started
avoiding fried and junk food.
I wont say it was easy to start specially when we have all
excuses like
. Time constraints
. Lack of will power (when it comes to junk food)
But I tried and its only after one or one and a half week when
I started enjoying coz results are the biggest motivation.
I felt the tyre had deflated a little and the one jeans of
mine was able to take me in with out struggle. I had lost 2.5
pounds approx.
In only about 4 weeks I started getting complements that I
look a bit slimmer then before. I had lost 4.25 pounds and
even my height had increased to 178 cm.
And after around 8 weeks I started feeling the confidence that
a normal young guy should have that I had almost forgotten.
The schedule was not a problem at all. I used to manage time
for the exercise on its own coz I started enjoying it. I had
lost some more pounds and few inches from waist.
Now after 3 years my height Is 188cms and weight is 186
pounds.
I wear skin fits and go to water parks and beaches very often.
